If you are watching Antenna TV on free over-the-air television from a local station, you may need a broadcast antenna.
Once your television is connected, you may need to rescan the television to receive some digital channels.
- First, remove the cable from the antenna that is connected to your converter box or digital TV set.
- Second, scan for channels by selecting “auto tuning”, “autoscan,” or “EZ scan” using the converter box menu.
- Third, once the scan without the antenna is complete, turn off and then unplug the power to your converter box or digital TV set. Wait at least one minute, allowing your converter box/digital TV set to “reboot” and clear former channels from the system’s memory.
- Fourth, once that scan is complete, reinsert the cable from your antenna back into the converter box or digital TV set input. Then use the converter box menu again to scan for channels. When this second scan is complete, you may get more channels than you previously received, including Antenna TV if a local Antenna TV affiliate is available in your area.
To watch Antenna TV on cable television, check with your provider to be certain that it is available in your area. If it is, you may need to power off or unplug your cable box, and then plug it back in/power it back on to update the channels available in your home.
